This symbol acknowledges the strong influence of Japanese principles, culture, and clinical expertise that underpin the foundation of the symposium. Inside the red sun are two iconic silhouettes: Mount Fuji and Table Mountain. These instantly recognisable landmarks from Japan and South Africa represent strength, steadiness, and lasting collaboration. Just as mountains stand firm through time, our commitment to excellence in cardiology remains constant across both continents. At the centre of the logo stands a shared tree. Its trunk is grounded in unity, and it branches in two directions. On the left, the delicate cherry blossom represents Japan and symbolises renewal, beauty, and precision. On the right, the fever tree, native to the African savannah, represents life, resilience, and deep roots in the continent. Together, these trees form one structure. The shared trunk and its branching limbs closely resemble the vessels of the heart, with visible bifurcations that echo human anatomy. This design reminds us of our common goal: to care for the heart and improve health through shared knowledge and cooperation. The logo is not just a design. It is a message.
